Dear Community and Friends,
On Sunday June 12th Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition (LACBC) will celebrate River Ride 2016! This event is the signature of what started as a grass roots organization and has grown into the county wide advocacy group, promoting equity, safety by shaping policy that it is today. Though I would love to ride with you — Instead I am dedicated to helping enhance the experience of our participants, and the festivities at the Autry.
I invite you to join me to raise funds for the (LACBC). We all understand that there are many worthy organization or causes you are asked to donate to - I thank you for your consideration to support of LACBC.
The LA River Ride is LACBC’s largest fundraiser and the largest event on the LA River. The River Ride raises funds for LACBC's advocacy, education, and outreach programs and supports the Greenway 2020 campaign to complete all 51 miles of the LA River Bikeway from Canoga Park to Long Beach!
I have actively participated as a LACBC Local Chapter Leader since 2009 when co-founding the LACBC’s first Chapter, Santa Monica Spoke. I have served on the LACBC board as the Local Chapter Rep for nearly 3 years. I am proud to be a part of an organization that advocates for a safer, healthier, and more equitable places for everyone who walks and rides a bike in all eighty-eight cities of the county. No amount is too small.
My sincerest appreciation,
